What I wanted to reply with, would have been soooo much snarkier:

"Are you aware that you just sent me an E-MAIL stating that you can't send E-MAIL? Does this not seem even remotely odd to you? Take your time chewing on the concept."

I did find out later that it was just a single distribution list that she couldn't send to; still, the irony was inescapable.
