It's really sad when you realize you've been on Short Term Disability so long that you're itching to go back to work, even knowing it's a helpdesk. And realize that the major reason O stay is not so much for the people yelling in my ear or knowing that the major stressor (i.e. my manager) is not only gone, but she got fired probably because of me.

Well, the pay rocks my socks, and the insurance is really good. Sanity? Who needs it?

Just realize if I start screaming and ripping my eyes out, just put me away in the ol' straitjacket and hide me in the padded cell. Again.

Btw, hi guys, it's been awhile.

You know you're not the first helpdesk tech to take STD leave for Psych reasons. We had five (of 500) in our center just last fall, myself included. And that doesn't count the ones that quit instead of taking leave.

I could never be on short term disability long enough to itch to go back...
