EU: I can't get into my DB2 tables, it says there's a security problem.
Me: OK, let me check your mainframe account and make sure you aren't revoked. No, not revoked. Is it asking you for a password?
EU: No.
Me: Huh. That's odd. OK, let me check something else (I check a couple of other things like the server it's on, her LAN account "just in case" there's some weirdness there, everything looks fine). Well, everything looks ok. Are you sure it isn't asking you for a password?
EU: No, it isn't asking me for a password.
Me: Ok, well, it looks like you changed your mainframe password on Monday.
EU: Oh? I'm supposed to use that password?
Me: I thought you said it wasn't asking you for a password.
EU: It isn't. OK, I put in my mainframe password and that worked.
ME: ..... OK, is there anything else I can help you with today?
EU: No, thanks, bye!

Me to coworker: I *know* I was speaking English...

Yeah, the password box didn't say "Could you give me your password, please?", ergo, it didn't ask. Jeez.

Word to the Mercury retrograde. Emails going random places, people asking me stupid questions, Ebay-purchased laptop arrives busted in post...
