After explaining to the customer that we're going to register her manually:

"Okay, I need you to close that program."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"But it says you're going to quit registration!"
"I know thats okay."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"It says quit."
"Yeah, click quit."
"Really?"
"Yes."
"It still says quit."
"Did you click it?"
"No."
"Click quit."
"But that will close registration!"
"I know, that's okay, we're going to do it manually."
"Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"But I want to register!"

That sounds like peole calling Apple with their new computers...these people are OBSESSED with "being registered"

I had one person cal up the other day "I just erased my hard drive and when I finished installing it made me reregister, so I wanted to make sure you have me back in the system"

I *think* I might have gotten through to her how that "registration" has no bearing on whether she's in the system or not, and once your comuter is in the system, unless something goes REALLY wrong it doesn't get "unregistered"

*headdesk*

If they were educated by the government school system?

Yes, (as politicians dislike logical voters).
