Did you know that if you label a customer's modem with an arrow pointing to the correct jack and show the customer the label and tell them in very small words where to stick the phone line, and the customer then proceeds to go home, look directly at the labelled jack, and plug the phone line into the other unlabeled jack, and the customer gets a "no dial tone" error when trying to connect to the Internet, it's all your fault?

Yeah. News to me, too.

Ow... Ow... I'm so sorry. That's insane. Kind of mildly funny in that "yeah... people really are that dumb." kind of way... but still. Holy crap.

Yup... Only thing interesting that happened to me today was someone had the wrong printer selected as default and was getting pissed that is documents were being printed across the room and not next to him. It was my fault he couldn't scroll down on the print menu and see the other one. I actually had to go over on that call and show him how. You still trumped that though... wow.

I really don't think I could do in-house support. If I actually had to pass the people I'm providing support for in the halls, I don't think I could prevent walk-by stranglings...

Yeah, I'm desktop support at my college. Which means I get to go wherever there is help needed and/or answer phones depending on the day.
