Here is an actual worklog I just wrote...


User's Backup drive does not work.
Had user connect Backup drive to T41.
Had user look in My Computer - drive does not appear.
Had user connect Backup drive to other USB port - still nothing.
User does not have Backup drive connected to AC power.
User reports he does not even have a power cable for the Backup drive.
User then found the power cord after a brief search.
User connected the cord to the Backup drive - drive now works properly.

To be fair, some USB devices are powered straight through the USB cord. Was he aware that a backup drive was not one of those devices?
