User calls in with a problem – some of her files did not download properly. Not a big deal. I run a few fixes with her, and the files are still missing. Hmm, not good, so I go to [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] to escalate it. He gives me one more thing to try. I try it, and its still not working. So now [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and me are wondering which department we send this to, so we consult the all-knowing [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]. Before escalating, I talk to the user one more time…

Me: What is your file view set to?
User: Large icons.
Me: Set your view to “List” for me please.
User: Oh! There they are!

::sounds of three palms hitting foreheads::

To make it worse... my very next call was a user with the Exact. Same. Problem.

It's just one of those things that we used to have to check at the beginning of each new sales cycles because the old sales folks like to have the huge icons that they can read, rather than the list or details that actually shows it all in the window.
