I don't care how slick you are, if you have hard candy or gum in your mouth, and you move it around at all, the person you are talking to on the phone CAN HEAR IT! AND IT"S FREAKING ANNOYING!

This is also true of eating pretty much anything. Especially crunchy Cheetos.

you know, I've had calls recorded where I had peppermint and/or cough drop in my mouth, and I've listened to them.

Really, you could tell that I had *something* in my mouth, but it wasn't an incessant clicking or slurring, just, not a "normal" sounding voice.

My team lead could tell there was *something* going on, but wasn't sure what.

And you know, if I ate while on the phone with a customer, and they could tell, I'd be canned.

*sigh* such is life.
