Dear Supposed Network Administrator,

You asked me why you're getting the error unable to update registry when installing our software. I have given you the reason and the solution. If you do not know how to make the user account a member of the local power users security group, do not keep me on the phone while you muck about with your domain controller and wonder why you can't see the power users option. While I do have training in network administration, it is not my job to maintain YOUR network, or your user accounts. My ear is stuck to the receiver now. It hurts. Please hang up, and find someone else to help you do your job.

That said, I often do not use it, because in my capacity on our desk, I take fewer calls so that I may assist the other reps. So I will use the handset.

That said. I fucking hate handset cauliflour ear.

I personally like the suction cup-like seal that forms around the ear and the concave receiver, glued together by sweat and the passage of some 20 minutes, such that when you try to hang up and peel the plastic away from your ear, a temporary vacuum is created and you can actually feel your brains being sucked out of your ear.

Which, you know, kind of adds a bit of visceral physicality to those moments when you actually do feel stupider after a particularly mind-blasting call...
