Jun. 20th, 2005 10:20 pmA really great start to a Monday morning is when you walk in and are advised that one of the DHCP servers is being flaky, resulting in intermittent connectivity for an unknown but largeish number of users on post.
The morning just gets better when an SA (Server Admin) calls from the computer operations center (aka Server Room!) to advise you of the following fun facts:
- The AC in computer operations is not working...
- The current temperature is 90F.
- The temperature is rising at a rate of about 10F per hour.
- If this goes on much longer, they will start shutting servers down.
I was overjoyed. Really.
