Me: "Is this a UNIX machine?"
Luser, in a completely condescending tone: "Noooooo, it's a com-PEW-ter."

Like I'M the idiot...

Reminds me of the beardy UNIXer, "Here's a nickel kid, get yourself a better computer. (http://www.stud.ntnu.no/~emilsnor/bilder/dilbert_unix.gif)"

I moonlight as a pizza delivery driver, and part of my job is taking orders for the store. We deliver to about 5 hospitals, and consequently the nurses working in said hospitals. Funny how all these nurses are trusted with body parts and such, but can't keep a menu around to save their lives! I have to break down every item they order, even after sending them a menu three days earlier with colorful descriptions and prices...

I used to deliver pizza... I know that story all to well. Its amazing how someone can be trained to perform a certain job, but lack all other forms of functionality. Sometimes I just get stunned... they should have common sense courses at these universities and commuter colleges these people go to.

I used to think there were aptitude tests for these types of careers... the key phrase of course being "used to"...
