A qualified applicant will need to be able to multi-task duties as well as prioritize according to customer needs and schedules. All applicants should be self-starters, highly motivated, and eager to contribute to the well being of the organization while operating in a fast-paced environment. We serve Members of Congress and their staff as they serve their constituencies.

This position is NOT a desk job. HouseCall employees will be expected to interact with clients on a daily basis in various capacities. Professionalism and courteousness are expected.

A qualified applicant must be skilled in PC and network troubleshooting. In addition, proficiency in Blackberry installations, web development, and data base management will be considered a plus. HouseCall does provide technical training in several areas; however, our principal requirement is that every applicant be proficient in computer and network troubleshooting.

Excellent verbal/written communication skills are required. 'Above and beyond' customer service is the most important qualification.

let me try again. i work for one congressional office. this is for another congressional office, also in the house of reps. they sent out the job listing to all current IT folks in all offices. I was broadcasting it here as a courtesy in case anyone wanted to apply.

you seem to have some sort of problem with that. why?

A variety of reasons:
1) there are better places to post job listings, and better still, if it's on craigslist, just leave the link, not the entire listing
2) it's the government! who wants to work for the most poorly organized IT structure ever?
3) it's poorly written, if you were to repost it in this feed, why not clean it up first?
4) IT'S A GOVERNMENT JOB.
