Intradepartmental hold music is so depressing. I mean. Really. Really. Depressing. Listening to this soft, Kenny G'ish, horn 'easy listening' shit makes me question everything from my lot in life to my sexuality. No, I mean really. I start to think about how I don't have a relationship, how I'm not very sociable, how I could have been a doctor or something else, and am instead sitting in a 3/4 walled, 3-foot high cloth covered box, listening to shit that makes Yanni say "Christ, that's pussified."

I can't handle it. I don't know why. Could it be that this easy listening lets out my inner emo kid? Could I be, deep inside, a whiny little spineless gibbering fuck, waiting only for the proper chords on a clarinet to trigger the flood of 'woe is me'isms that would make my LJ one of the most reviled and yet watched? Could my patron saint be some unsung 15 year old kid who listened to Blink 182 a lot and shot himself because girls made fun of him?

Or could the music just suck the sweat off of a rhinoceros' testicles at 30 meters, and prove that people are easily inflenced by music?

Either way... it's most likely yet another reason there are three seperate signs on my building that tell us not to bring firearms in. Thank goodness there is no sign forbidding blades, else I would not be able to commit seppuku in shame for having listened to a muzak rendition of 'Highway to Hell' by AC/DC.
