THis is probably off topic, but it might be useful for anyone who has to deal with the Pile of steaming fecal matter that is incredimail.

So you had an Luser install Incredimail on their machine against policy, and they've been using it for a short while (or long enough to get a fair amount of messages in the damn thing), and you are thinking the luser is screwed because you can't export the email messages as a whole. Here's how to fix it (unless you want to torture or punish the luser, which may be more fun ::evil grin::)

1) Before removing IM from your PC, use IncrediConvert and save converted mails in a new file somewhere on your PC. Incrediconvert will automatically convert all existing folders.

Incrediconvert: http://rauno.com/IncrediConvert.zip (And send the author of the program some cash via paypal. It's worth it!)

2) Open Outlook Express and copy paste each Incrediconvert folder content into a new Outlook Express folder

Follow these steps for one folder copy:
-open Incredimail converted XYZ folder
-select all
-drag and drop the whole selected content into the specific Outlook express folder you created

3) Repeat above steps for each Incrediconverted folder

4) for The address book, You can export it to CSV file. WHen you import the CSV file, you'll need to map the 'Second name' field in the incredimail CSV file to 'Last Name' in whatever program you are importing to.

At this point, you can remove the application.

Personally, I don't like Incredimail. Sure, It's spyware free, but it pulls down ads, and generally does not behave in a professional manner.

Unless it was some bigwig whom I depended on grace from, I'd go with the punish the user option, but it's good info to have.

the only times i have ever had to deal with IncrediMail was after a user's computer had already shat itself, when there is no way on earth to recover their email.
I got to do the evil laugh and say Never, ever use this POS again.
stupid person went straight back to it.
