Honey??

I normally don't get pissed at customers. But calling someone with a deep masculine voice "honey" is about as low as you can get.

This one's getting his computer wiped for that stunt. Don't expect me to treat your computer with respect if you can't treat me with any.

(yes, I know it's not a stupid computer or user issue with a computer, it's a plain old runofthemill jackass)

"Honey" doesn't belong in a professional conversation. Granted my desk is a joke, but it would not have mattered from whom this came, said in the condescending manner in which this was I found unacceptable.

I take it you are male, yes? Well as a female tech I get called lovey, pet, sweetie, the girl, honey, darling, suagr and various other condescending names that have no place in a professional conversation every single day in my job. And thats only the tip of the iceberg. My advice to you? Get over it. Walk a mile in my shoes. Others have it much worse than you, sunshine.

Was it a guy or woman calling you honey? If it was a guy, I might wonder. But it's pretty normal for women to call others honey. Also what's wrong with a little friendliness in your professional conversations. Get that stick outta your ass. God forbid someone be friendly with the tech they're talking to. That might imply that they care. You must be one of those robot techs that no one wants to talk to.
