Ok, so I'm sitting here at the office, doing some *admin* stuff (HAHA), and the mailman walks in. He mentions something about me working on the computers and I just kind of nod and smile and keep browsing the WoW forums (HAHA). He leaves, comes back in, drops a package he forgot about and then leaves again. Then he comes back in and says, "Hey, can I ask you something?" Oh man..... Apparently, he's got popups and spyware and who knows what else. So I told him to download AVG, Spybot and Mozilla Firefox and he should be good to go. He apparently couldn't remember all that, cause he asked me to write it all down for him. Which I did. I'm such a nice guy. *sigh*

Yeah, one of the custodians here comes to my office two or three times a week to ask me a computer question. I'm the only tech on campus, so I can't hide. I constantly get the "my computer at home is doing (fill in the blank)." It's starting to drive me nuts.

Though I have made some cash repairing some home machines, so it's not ALL bad.

Too bad she was a lesbian *sigh*

Man, you've got all the straight ones on Babylon 5, the Star Trek universe, Stargate SG-1, Stargate Atlantis, AND Battlestar Galactica. How much more do you need? ;o)

Should be.... But you are not their target audience. Plus most of my lesbian friends get annoyed that when used in TV lesbian relationships are used to sell the "lesbian sex is hawt" which is causing the massive influx of fake-bi 13-year-olds which are just bloody annoying (and often insulting).

Yes. The "lesbian of the week" or "lesbian for sweeps" is incredibly insulting. But when they do it right, it's okay by me. They just don't do it right very often.

Well, there's [livejournal.com profile] stargate, [livejournal.com profile] sg1, and [livejournal.com profile] atlantis. They all appear to be run by the same people, but they talk about the shows more than the communities I'm on. If that's what you're looking for.

No, I will not fix your computer (http://www.thinkgeek.com/tshirts/frustrations/388b/)
You need this t-shirt =)

I have one and wear it to work.. Frequently!

As Network Admin for a bunch of financial traders, well, I shouldn't have to finish the sentence ;-)

Hey, you've got it made! Every time they ask you to fix their computer, ask them to earn you some money :)

Daniel died *again*? Good grief. I missed the latest episode. I hope he comes back. While I liked Jonas, Daniel is still better.

Yeah, that was totally out of left field. I don't know anybody who was expecting that. And the people on my friends list see f/f slash just about *everywhere*. Nobody saw that one coming.

No big deal. I can always get it off BitTorrent.

I get the same thing. You just can't fault them for actually being concerned about pop-ups though. Whereas with my parents, it takes my mother two minutes to get infect with 3 different spywares. True story, she dialed up, I left to go ask dad and question and when I came back she had about 10 windows minimized and this look on her face like she'd just shit her pants.

fscking ezboard.
