Jan. 21st, 2005 10:11 amWe recently installed a new HP Alphaserver DS15. It includes an external raid array and an internal SCSI DAT drive. The DAT drive has been a problem since we set it up and now it just won't work at all. The system is less than thirty days old so it's under warranty. I call HP to get someone to come out and check the drive and the person I get on the phone, who evidentally handles DAT drive calls all day, says "Wow, an Alphaserver, I didn't know they made those anymore!"
He works for HP, come on!

Date: 2005-01-21 04:38 pm (UTC)even without any disks in it, that's still way over the price of the clone box.. and then to put the 2 TB of (apparently scsi only) disks in it......
Whitebox clone it is :)
