Dear customers,

Please learn the difference between Outlook and Outlook express.

And what's worse, please don't argue with me when I've figured out that you are using one when you're so sure you're using the other. If I tell you to find a menu that would only be in Outlook, and you say it's not there but an option that should only be in Outlook express is, then you're using Outlook express, so STFU and let me help you.

Please.

I guess clickkng "Help" and then "About Outlook ..." would be just too much work then?

Man, we have this problem at work. I can't tell you how many times I've had users try to set up their own email and then wonder why it won't work, because they tried Outlook Express.

When I was a tech, I always made sure to delete every shortcut to OE I could find.

And mine don't know the difference between "the internet" and "email."
I could kill whoever we hired to setup shortcuts on their dekstops that dial up to our servers and automatically open a terminal that displays their Pine boxes in one move...

Oh man, that reminds me...When my mom first got on the internets, I set up her email and such. I forget what app it was, but the email program's icon had a little letter or postbox or something in it. Next time I was over, she asked me where her email program was. So I renamed the icon to "Email". Next time I was over...well, you get the idea.
