We have an online chat service for our customers where I work. They get to pick a username and then type a short description of the problem. Then, they sit in que for the next available tech to chat with them.
I open my chat window this morning to find a message from a customer that says "I am not happy with my service, what can you do about it?" I proceed to chat with the customer and get their account information.
I pull up the account to find that they have not called tech support for 2 years! In addition, they average about 1 hour of usage each month over the past year! And just today they decide to start screaming at me about the ongoing problems that they decided to assume were on our end for the past year. And now I am supposed to bend over and kiss her feet?
Of course, she hasn't been getting certain emails for the last 3 months, which are being blocked by the spam filter. Fixed it in two minutes. Something I would have done 3 months ago if she had called then.
