Seriously.
If this test doesn't fail consistently anytime soon, I'm going to start throwing stuff. It works one minute, it doesn't the next. Either work or don't work! Don't do both!

The system needs to cool down for re-evaluation. This time, co-incidentally, is exactly the time you need to go get a nice cup of coffee, go check the outside world, and calm down.

Then when you come back, check the wires. One is loose and is buggering up your system.

Actually, I just got it to reproduce consistently. heh. Amazing the things we think up when we're ready to break stuff.

It was a memory issue. Like, duh? ;)

Sometimes the computer responds to threats.

I threatened to FFR a computer that was having a consistant nasty spyware issue that wouldn't go away. One reboot later, spyware was finally gone.
