I hate our ERP software.

Hate it. HATE IT.

It works as a front-end on our as400, giving a pretty point and click interface for managing data and generating reports and other such things.

Except, see, it doesn't recognize when the passwords are expiring. And it doesn't tell people when they have expired. They have to log into the AS400 for that, but since they've moved to the new system... none of them do so. Oh, and have I mentioned that this new software is written in java?

We recently started having passwords expire again because of a security audit.

What happened this weekend? They did an upgrade on the system. All fine and good. Except also... everyone's password expired. They aren't related, but all the users think they are.

All I have done for the past two and a half hours, except about 5 calls, is change passwords.

Why, for the love of god, can't they write software that notifies people of expiring passwords?!

I think I deserve Mexican food and a margarita for lunch.
