Yeah, sure. I have photographic memory
Aug. 27th, 2004 07:07 pmI work in a relatively busy computer store. We get about 15-20 computer in per day for service and I work the front counter and a bench when I can. So today, I'm busily diagnosing a system (What's this? Spyware by the dozen? Why am I not surprised your system is running slow!) and this woman walks up to the counter.
Woman: Hi!
Me: *blink* Hi, what can I do for you?
Woman: Is my computer fixed?
Me: Who are you?
Do these people honestly expect me to recognize them immediately, remember exactly which system they brought in, and be able to tell them at the drop of a hat?
Gah!
I love my job. I just despise the people. :)

Date: 2004-08-28 05:46 pm (UTC)Yeah, sure, whatever. When I worked at the local mom and pop store, there were a few regulars that we remembered, namely women, but usually, I didn't have a clue who I were talking to, unless I had actually taken their computer for them. The funny thing is, they walk up and start asking me about their computer, and they didn't even talk to me. Not like I knew them, but that their computer is soo important, that everyone in the shop should know about it. Bah.
Anyway, I feel your pain.
