3rd time's a charm

Got laid off again. This is the 3rd time in three years. I know I've gotta get out of the tech industry, but I don't know what else I'm good at.
So here we go again. Does anyone know of any decent paying tech jobs in the Phoenix area? Anything under $10 an hour would pretty much kill me, but beyond that I'm open to suggestions.

i have head rumors that go daddy is hireing....
and i think possibly we might be hireing for a new tech. we keep oosing em out of the traing class. but i also know that there i a few people lined up... i suppose you could pester me and i could get you an email address.

Heh... go into the health insurance business. As far as I know it can't be outsourced.

Yes, but I don't think legally they have access to americal health insurence information. I don't think HIPPA allows for it.

Medical dictation is mostly outsourced; there was a case of someone threatening to disclose patient records when the outsourcer failed to pay her.

From the number of people at my call center I know read this, I'm surprised no one mentioned 2Wire. I believe we're always hiring. Look for the Butler ad in the Republic. Then again, if thats where you got "laid off" from then your screwed :) I think this is it. Also I know Cable One is here. I want out of this industry and am finishing my Biology degree to be as far away from the compter industry and customer service as possible.

Too many people I know work at 2Wire and hate it. I also can't deal with random schedule changes because I have two kids at home.

Got a job though anyway! I'll be doing tech support for Alltel starting August 9th. They start at $13.80 an hour and have benefits from the very first day. I'm still trying to figure out what the catch is.
