HELLO ALL, dont know WHY it has taken me SO LONG to find this community...
stupidity perhaps...

i dont have anything NEW to report, but i'm sure you guys would like to see (and hear) some of the past things i've posted. i've been able to capture MANY phone calls i've taken (internet technical support in one of the more stupid area's of the country), and here are two posts i've made. i have more... i'll repost a couple every few days till i use em up, then create some NEW stuff...

an actual phone call!!! WTF?!?! can anyone give me the answer, cause i was stumped... little blue box?

Someone should really come up with a "how to talk to tech support for dummies" book. Screw teaching people how to use word, they need to be taught how not to drive us insane.

That's one of the biggest problems, on BOTH sides I think, with tech support. People just not knowing how to describe their problems.

The only "little blue box" I can think of that would show up would be a "video disconnected" thing. Rember that monitor = "computer" and that computer = "modem" or "hard drive" in userspace.

That may be true, but what if a person were able to identify themselves? In all likelyhood that would never happen, but if it did you'd been up a creek.
