When we first got this tape drive, it was a normal IDE tape drive. Note: IDE. Keep this in mind.

It went bad.

It went back to the supplier.

It then went back to the manufacturer for repair.

This is how it came back.

IDE - SCSI same diffrence. They all plug into the same place anyway.

What I want to know is if it is now a SCSI drive or simply has the wrong port soldered into it?

You'd think the big ol' sticker what says "ATAPI" on it would've provided their repair department with something resembling a subtle hint, but noooooooo....

Let me guess, Exabyte?

We had a LVD SCSI drive go out, comes back as a IDE interface.

this was months ago. Mind you, this was even after my drive was hot-listed by Exabyte for express RMA repair.. *Sigh*

What I find intresting is that the Master/Slave/CableSelect jumber is still there.
