The complete and utter depths of customer stupidity are running all over the place today. This is from a conversation I had with a customer a few minutes ago:

Me: What kind of computer do you have?
Customer: Ethernet.

If I could have reached through the phone I would have throttled him. It took me nearly four minutes to drag out the fact that he had an IMac. I still haven't figured out how he managed to make our DSL disk try to dial out through his 56K modem. Luckily, a quick rebuild on his internet settings got him out the door. Thank the gods of the computer world this man wasn't on a PPPoE system. I might have had to go postal years early.
