Why, why, oh WHY does aol think that The Company Which Must Not Be Namedwill do all thier work for them? This moring, I got a call from a customer who wanted to set up his AOL screenname as an AIM screenname, bacuae someone had told him that to send IMs, he needed to set up AIM seperately. So he asked me how to do it, and if that wouldn't work, to change his password. Fair enough until you remeber that I DON'T WORK FOR AOL. I work for TCWMNBN.. In hardware support, no less. So why did this customer ask me to fix this for him? Aol told him to. Told him, moreover, that this was probably a hardware issue. I kid you not.
