yeah I think and appropriate punishment would be that every tech support person that has had to deal with customers over this issue should be able to slap him. Just once, hard and fast. *kersmack*

I wonder who's going to hire him to look for bugs in their programs when he gets out. Makes sense since he was able to come up with this one.

It doesn't look like he had any foreknowledge of the vulnerabilities. Sasser appeared after the vulnerability had been well-known for about two weeks, so his only trick was in figuring out how to exploit it.
