Well, that's nice. The proxy team blocked the *css for yahoo.com and now we've got people calling the desk, freaking out.

Why was it blocked? Oh, it's malicious, don't ya know?

Work's proxy server recently decided to reclassify news.bbcimg.co.uk as streaming media, and so blocked that domain. Turns out that the BBC News site works surprisingly well with all the CSS, JS, and images removed.

Unfortunately... yes. I had a user manage to install IE 9 because her Yahoo mail told her to... and then completely flip out about it because "I lost my settings and nothing looks right and I think I have a virus *continued babbling here*" Because, you know, her yahoo mail was such a critical (not) part of her work day.
