I just had to explain to the sales manager how to FORWARD A FUCKING EMAIL!!!!!!!!!!



seriously. he calls me over to look at something, I go over, realize its an email that I apparently need to see and ask him to forward it over to me.


I get the email. See that he copied and pasted the text, so I don't get the oh so crucial attachments that the cusotmer sent, and have to go back over and show him how to forward.

I get the feeling that some people are not supposed to know how to forward because they'll forward every lame "joke" and chain going. Hope you haven't opened a can of worms.

Sorry to hear you have such folks to deal with. I spent a good portion of our last staff meeting explaining to my boss that a database != a website content management system.

as an added bonus, he had the nerve to suggest that I tell our university webmaster to talk to our graphics/design contractor about how a website should actually run. :/

You know, posts like this always make me wonder if the sales managers and such have their own forums ranting on the things in their fields that the techs don't know how to do. ;-)

OTOH, forwarding an e-mail is a Joe Average User skill, *not* an IT-skill as such so in this case the rant is somewhat justified.
