Reminds me of the phone call I got last night (Sunday, at home) in the middle of the ball game (Yankees @ Red Sox)

Me: Hello?

"Friend": I think I have a virus.

Me: [Thinking] WTF do you want me to do about it, besides smacking you upside the head for being stupid enough to open that email?

Me: That sux.

"Friend": How do I fix it?

Me: [Thinking] Hold down the following keys F-U-C-K-M-E and press Enter while banging your head on the desk repeatedly until the machine reboots.

Me: Do you have any idea what the "virus" is? (Suppressing urge to lecture on the difference between a virus and malware)

"Friend": How do I find out?

Me: (after running through a long list of symptoms and probable causes) Best thing would be to back up your data and re-image the disk. You have your recovery disks, right?

"Friend": Huh? I'm not good at this computer stuff.

Me: Bring it over tomorrow night, I'll take care of it. (and don't forget the bottle of Woodford Reserve (http://www.whisky.com/brands/woodford_reserve_brand.html) and a hooker.)
