Naming conventions

"Ok, so firstname.lastname@x.y."
"Yes."
"Ok, so there's a dot between my first and last name."
"...yes."
"No initials."
"No."
"So...a dot."
"Between the first and last names, yes."
"No middle initial."
"Not at all."
Repeat ad infinitum.


Honestly, was I not being clear, or did he want an interpretive dance on our new email addresses?
