This motherfucking Pocket PC jumps to any access point it can, despite me turning off roaming profiles, and deleting the default profile. I give the fuck up. Thanks Microshaft.
It even jumps to other encrypted access points (local Verizon wireless DSL modems/routers/access points). Makes no damn sense at all.

Date: 2009-06-02 06:05 pm (UTC)Newer versions have three different boot methods rather than the former two. Warm boot, cold boot and 'wipe' boot. Warm boot is basically a quick reset, cold boot is like a computer reboot, but you keep nearly all changed settings (I've been told all, but this is M$ so I am sure something is reset back to default), and the 'wipe' boot resets the handheld back to it's initial install state (goodbye programs, changed settings, etc).

Date: 2009-06-03 10:42 am (UTC)... it's the only way to be sure.
So, I'm led to understand that the install of Windows on a netbook is different than any other XP install where you can remove the remembered WiFi connections from the wireless properties?
