In fact, Windows is a giant steaming pile of insecure crap. Sorry - I didn't make it that way. Just stating the facts.
Mac OS X is based on FreeBSD 4.x, a VERY secure OS. It has a security model that Windows will never hope to match. While all platforms (Linux included) are vulnerable to attack, it's about a thousand times easier to attack a Windows box than anything else. Why? Because security on Windows is a joke.
I am not a Mac user.
Windows has it's place - it can always serve as the bad example.
