This totally made my day.

To the lady born in 1928 who called with a question about Firefox, actually listened to me, and then understood what I said:

Thank you. (:

i loved those callers. back when i did Mac phone stuff, i had one caller who was 85 and his kids bought him a Mac for his first computer (seemed appropriate, what with OSX being brand new and pretty). he had no idea what i was doing but willingly listened and did as instructed. the call lasted maybe 45 minutes and i'm confident he retained much of what he learned during that call.

Such a rare occurance.
I did an onsite once for a 78 year old woman. She gladly learned how to check/write email, how to use google/wiki, and save/manage pictures her grandkids send her. 2 hours later, she had good notes, I had a sandwhich (she wouldn't take no for an answer) and I left confident she was set. A week or so later, she sent me an emai to thank me for my time.

Now if only I could get the college aged childeren of my clients to not "Click here to win $1,000,000", I could die satisfied.

That sounds so pleasant.

I'm doing good to not fly off the handle when my mom keeps calling it foxfire.
