I once had a coworker, a fairly talented coder who was quite gangsta. He didn't have much of a nerd background. We invited him over to a D&D session after work a few times. He came in and wasn't sure where to begin. We gave him a rundown on the various class types. He decided he wanted "to be a Thug Mage".
