Note to self: Installing winXP w/spP2, and then updating to SP3 without first visiting windows update breaks windows update by leaving wups2.dll unregistered.
I've actually had a couple updates do that to me in the past. I want to say it happened both on XP, and on 2K. and neither case was while installing XP SP3.
sudo apt-get update sudo apt-get dist-upgrade go get coffee reboot (because there was likely a kernel upgrade in there somewhere) sudo apt-get install wholepileofstuffthirtylineslong
