Actually, Dilbert covered something very similar a number of years ago: "Dogbert's Holistic Technical Support". User rings to say there's something wrong with the CD drive. Dogbert recommends stuffing it with bark - it'll totally fix it. User asks if bark is ok for CD drives. Dogbert says "Don't worry, it's totally natural."

I wish I could find copies of those cartoons - there were three of them.

Love the last bit, apparently washing the RAM...I recommend at least a 20% solution of hydrochloric acid for best results, however.

Myself, I think I'm going to build a virus catcher. Makes for good office decoration... and it reminds me of that booth at the christmas market where they sold decoration and jewellery made from circuitry. Now that I finally have some money I'll need to go home next christmas to see if it still exists.

The area of the dorms I will be in this year decorated their Christmas tree last year with various computer detritus, with a 486 mobo as the crowning decoration on the tip of the tree.
