this (http://www.windowsnetworking.com/) is probably a good place to start...dont have time to see if it has what you want, but check out the links section if it doesnt...
Yeah, it involves a reghack though... (sorry hit enter too soon)
Important: "Using Registry Editor incorrectly can cause serious problems that may require you to reinstall your operating system. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the incorrect use of Registry Editor can be solved. Use Registry Editor at your own risk." This is ONLY for Windows 98/98SE and Windows ME, and -not- for Windows 95
This works for customers who are online. PINGABLE! But are unable to resolve DNS or get pages. After you have done all the basic stuff. (R&R DUN enable DNS and the winsocks have been checked) If the customer is running WIN98/ME give them the disclaimer and try this fix. If you are not comfortable with editing the registry with a customer DON'T DO IT.
Remove DUN
Backup registry (registry at the top -> export registry file)
Locate and click the following registry key, and then delete the Winsock2 registry key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Services
Add DUN
Adjust NCP to have TCP/IP, DUA, and Client for MS Networks
