Letting a customer get done telling you how important they are, how important their whatever is, how unimportant you are, and how they're going to get you fired, and then ending it all with "... Are you finished, sir/ma'am?"

I had one of those the other day. Even better she shot her self in the foot because when I called her back she told me she didn't want to hear from my company again so now every time she calls to complain that we haven't called her it's in the notes that she doesn't want to be contacted by us.

Today was an odd one for me... cust was IRATE!!! with agent, I took the sup call. Cust is suddenly nice. Learned why near the end of the call "You have a really pretty accent, miss!" oy.

Yup. I think she's nutty but what can I do... I suppose I could torment her and call her back every time she calls us under the guise of helping, but really I've got better things to do than try to force some one to accept help. You can toss a drowning man a line but you can't make him swim.

Oh man, I had someone do that to me a couple of days ago. All because I couldn't find someone's account in a system that the user claims they'd used earlier that day. Come to find out, the user was mistaken somewhere/how. Luckily, customer apologized for the problem (and it sounded like she was going to ream out the user instead, which I'm fine with).

I do that. I like to give 'em about four seconds dead air from the time they stop talking 'till the time I ask. Gives them a chance to reflect.
