possible theories:
"It means you're retarded."
"It means you can't read."
"It means I ought to hang up on you and have you return to KINDERGARTEN where they teach you to sound OUT EVERY WORD and point at it WITH YOUR FINGER."

"...it means there's probably just a little problem we can take care of right quick; can I have the phone number on your account?"

Oh god I just had a flashback to a guy who went on and on about how his internet wasn't working and how he had been on with someone else for an hour and they couldn't fix it and it f'ing turned out he was connecting to the internet just fine; but his homepage was 404ing.

I've had a few cases of similar -

"OMG THE INTERNET IS BROKEN"
"Have you tried going to other websites, for example www.bbc.co.uk?"
"No... ooh! It's working now!"
"Okay, it looks like your home page is down."

Although the best had to be the person who phoned in asking to terminate their contract because they'd read the Internet; they thought our website (which automatically gets set as the home page) was the Internet. In its entirety. We had to explain browsing to them as gently as we could.
