we lost a client after one of our engineers looped a couple of their switches together, resulting in an epic meltdown that kept their network down for the 48 hours it took to get someone with a clue onsite.

And I have often been called onsite to "fix the network" by plugging someone's workstation into the right jack in the wall.

Meh.
