So we had a level 2 snow emergency this morning. Had it been level 3, I wouldn't be here today. The following has nothing to do with the following call, except that I wouldn't have had to take it and a hundred like it.

Redneck: I'm getting the error "Invalid username or password."
Me: (checks login attempts, doesn't see any)
Me: Okay, our servers aren't even registering your login attempts. For your username, you should have typed in billybob@myisp.net. Is that what you have?
R: Yes.
(Yeah, right.)
Me: Can you bring up your dialup box for me please?
Me: (hears computer being turned on)
R: ... okay, it's up.
Me: Great. Now tell me exactly what you have typed there.
R: billybob.
Me: ... OK. You just need to add @myisp.net.
R: Oh, okay. (types it in)
