LGA775 push pins piss me off, especially when you realize you need to flash four BIOS and need try and replace the tiny 45nm heatsink with a massive one for your P4 lying around, in which the pins are so atrophied and maligned that it makes you cringe.

Open discussion about random superflous aspects of computing / tech that could be made so much better?

Meh, I prefer LGA775 pushpins to the old S478 clamps. AMD S754/939/940 mounting can be done good, and can be done horribly horribly bad depending on the manufacturer. Spring-loaded screws going through motherboard directly to the chassis are the best, but you don't see them outside of servers.

folded edges on PC cases. They need to go

BOXXEN DO NOT WORK RIGHT WITHOUT BLOOD SACRIFICE!!!

That said, I do wish they'd go back to the molex-pinned standard of BIOS batteries. They always stick the coin fuckers right up against a heatsink or ram bed and you scrape the living shit out of your knuckles trying to get the fuckers out (same with the mobo power pins)
