techrecovery | Oh How Mondays Suck

So, last week HeadHoncho1 says "We need to move Person1 from her office on Thursday so Person2 can move in on Monday and Person3 can take Person2's old space".

Okay fine. Gods forbid we did these moves 2 weeks ago when we did the other 3 but whatever. Thursday move no problems. New office for Person2 is empty by 10:30. Agree to meet Monday at 8am to start other moves.

Monday 8am: Arrive at main office and redo wiring done on Thursday now that we have the right length cables. Wait 20 minutes for hole to be drilled in the desk to run the wires cause the person who comes to drill doesn't know how to charge either battery for the cordless drill. Try to make cables neat and out of the way once hole it drilled so I don't get panicked calls that the wires have be ripped out by Person1's foot. Done by 9:00am.

Ask HeadHoncho1 if we're ready for next move. "Ask Person2." Okie dokie. "Hey Person2, can we move?"

"Why no cause they're going to paint!"

WTFBBQ?? The place has been empty 2 days. Why the hell couldn't it have been painted then??? But really say to Person2 "Okay well I'm going to Location X and do something there. I'll be back in about 90 minutes."

Come back more than 90 minutes later, painter still not done. Spend the next hour putzing around, making phone calls and trying to do stuff I really need to be in my office for cause that's where all my paperwork is. Try to get on wireless in the breakroom where I am not bothered and can charge my laptop but no dice.

12:15 go back to Person2. "Are we ready yet?"

"No the guys to move the furniture won't be here until 1:00."

Then why the hell did you agree to have me here at 8am if the place need to be painted and the movers weren't coming till 1pm???? Really say to Person2 "Fine. I'm going for lunch, I'll be back at 1:00."

1:00pm - "Hey Person2, where are the movers?"

"Oh they'll be here soon."

In the mean time there's a crisis on the other side of the building. None of the 3 printers they have work. So I head over there. Well don't say all your printers don't work when one of them is out of toner because you can't order supplies right and the other just isn't mapped to your computer. Oh and it would be great if you want to print to the 3rd printer, that you actually select it from the list. Crisis solved and head back over to main building at 1:30. Still no movers. *bangs head on desk while waiting*

Finally movers arrive close to 2 and I get the complete computer setups relocated after 3pm.

What should have been a 2-3 job takes the whole damn day most of it wasted on waiting. And to top it off, no one bothered to tell me the phone guys came while I was out at Location X. I called phone people bitching about why they hadn't gotten there after I came back from lunch. "Oh well I talked to HeadHoncho1 and they told me what to do." Thanks for making me look like an ass, HeadHoncho1!! *sigh*
