I was making some fun as in the French version of StarWars (French dubbing / subtitles) he is called Z6PO. :-)

At the risk of being pedantic, it's C-3PO if you want to get technical about it :)

Sorry. Former Lucas employee. It's hard to break the habit :P

Could be worse. He could have been having problems with R2D2.

you mean Artoo Deetoo?

From: [identity profile] kageneko.livejournal.com
That's also an acceptable spelling. :)

I'm a Star Wars fan. I admit it.

Just don't mention SWG (the MMO) to me unless you want me to go into a homicidal rage.

How do you think I feel? I worked on that damned game for 3 years. :)

That's 3 years of my life I can't get back. I have a free account and refuse to install it. That should tell you something.

Yeeeeah.

Fortunately, I just was working hardware compatibility, so I take no blame for that.

We called 3PO units "Target Practice" in our Star Wars D6 RPG group. ;-P

...I knew I wanted to see the French dub of that for a reason!

(Well, except Yoda's voice in the Episode I preview was all kinds of bad and wrong.)

High Jawa body counts are pretty fun, too. (Serious game devolved into insanity? Never!)

I like seeing old-ass Star Wars shit where the droid names are spelled out phonetically, like See Threepio and Artoo Detoo.

Like, audiences in the 70's weren't sophisticated enough to be able to pronounce their names as letters, and needed help making sense of the high tech names they gave droids.

THANK YOU!!!

I can't tell you how much I hate seeing people write it like Seethreepio or shit like that. I mean, why do people not understand that it's not words, it's letters and numbers???

It always drives me nuts to see it spelled phonetically. :/

Reminds me of the "our program can't abide Winmodems; you'll have to pop $$$ for a USR sportster" department at my first employer over a decade ago. (This was just after windows 95 came out, and before the Age of the Intarwebbernet)

That would explain why there's a metric ass-ton of Jawas in that particular stage of the Lego Star Wars game. *been loving on the DS version of it*

I have the clunky DS version; what platform are you playing it on? ^_^ I keep thinking I want to try the PS2 version but not if it's equally crappy.

Crimson DS lite.

There's... parts of it which could use some improvement, but overall it was worth the money, I think.

Well, crap. Must be my fingers, then. I cannot get Chewie on the log in the Endor forest level.

The "Seethreepio" bit is pretty well canon, though, since it shows up in the novels. (It drives me insane, too, but there's a long-standing precedent for it.)

I play the PSP version. For me, it both looks better and has a better control system. I played the hell out of that game.

I've heard it's a better version, which makes me want a PSP too.
