"Printer" is a dirty word

luser: "I can't print!"
tech: (goes over to look; app is apparently ignoring Windows "default printer" and trying to send to a printer that's been deleted. Luser not clued-in enough to notice the "printer" field is blank. Fix problem.)

One hour later

luser: "I can't print!"
tech: (logs on remotely this time, not wasting the trip. Luser has forgotten to open her printer-redirect for the IBM OS/400 machine. Fix problem. Resist urge to stab luser in neck with pen.)

A few more of those and I'd be installing a local shitbox printer I usually use for a footstool.
