To be fair to the luser I did suggest he check docs in his windows temp, local user temp and even at a stretch prefetch,(yer I know a long shot that one) recycle bin, desktop & my docs oh and then to re-open excel incase he closed stupidly and it self recovered, I think I covered tha basics?

I used to go the route of poking here and there for users but anymore, I guess that's your ass!

Sure, I'll still go and open up the OLK directories, while making the user for feeling stupid for not saving correctly, but that's because creating a hidden temp directory is pretty asinine on MicroSoft's part.

But for a user too stupid to even name a new file; screw them!
