How quickly people forget about the Blaster and the havoc it caused. I was installing a new version of NAV 8.1 on a client pc and for some reason the installer package messed up office (I think there were some other issues too - I found the installation point in the registry pointing to a file that no longer existed). Anyway, while fixing the problem the user asked me "why do you have to keep installing these patches. My pc works fine".

just a couple of weeks ago I had to replace my hard drive.. and ofcourse had my ethernet cable plugged in..

The first thing that happened after I booted up on the new drive was the computer telling me it was gonna shut down in so many seconds..

*sigh*
I thought, 'oh my gawd. I removed this thing and the welchia 20 times today.. and I'm dumb enough to go home and get it myself.'

I love all the people who buy a new PC, which of course isn't updated in any way shape or form, get online.. then bang.. they got blaster.

It's so entertaining.
