It does almost remind me of some older family friends though...

AMEN.

Although the dude in the RTFM shirt looks creepily like a young Chevy Chase, at least until the British accent starts.

*raises hand* Ignorant American, myself. ;) So yeah, to a lot of us on this side the accents sound similar if not identical.

I defy ANY geek to watch the scene after they've fucked with the phone vibrate and keep ringing it not to recognise themselves in that single, stellar moment.

So. Damned. True.

(See the S1 DVD set? It has subtitles in l33t, binary, and a fucking hilarious mix of linux commands and ROFL)

S1 DVD came out early this year :D It's now at a decent price - I picked mine up for $20 AU at ezyDVD

They also have subtitles in base64. That's some hardcore nerd right there. (We eventually had to turn them off because they were seriously distracting us from the actual show!)

Haven't seen the third one yet, it's currently *cough* "Transmitting via digital means"

I've got one source that says Series 1 (which is the UKian way of saying Season 1) is to be out mid-February of 2008. Oddly, Amazon.co.uk has a Region 1 NTSC set available from several sellers, but my guess is that they're just TV-rips repackaged in a semi-professionally-produced case.
